humbly with good cause

I have become
what I swore I
never would;
        my father
                An angry old man living alone..
        My neighbor
                Doing things just to have
                a thing to do.

The passion of the birds
now fades and is just
something to pass the time,
to let life lapse...

Without passion
I slowly smolder,
embers in dust,
warm not hot,
breathing not living.

It is time to again
find the fire
that makes life exciting
to me...

God -
Show me,
help me to help,
myself,
the world,
and to do the next phase
humbly with good cause..
