Heart Attacks.....

Gosh - I just saw the dishes in the sink… And I will worry about them later. I just do not feel up to dealing with them right now..

As I sat outside I noticed one of the Hummingbird feeders dripping. I just did not want to get sweaty, I'll fix it tomorrow.

The dogs need brushing, the house needs vacuuming, and I am here typing. This is what I want to be doing right now.

I watched a 60 minutes piece earlier today on global warming. (TIVO) And they were at the north pole. They used satellite images to show the difference in the ice pack between a few years ago and now. There must have been a 20 percent loss.

The temperatures have risen by two degrees and ice is melting all over the pack.

(SOMEONE OUGHT TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT ALL THIS,Right?)

There was a short piece where the reporter stood on a ice bank and did a few minute blurb. When he stepped off of it and the boat just began pulling away, the ice broke right where he stood and crashed into the ocean. A minute or two away from death - his and the ices.

Then the sad fact that if this continues the extinction of the polar bear is right around the corner. The forecast is for their disappearance by the end of this century. Its population during the same period declined the same percentage as the ice loss.

Finally many noted scientists speculate that in 10 years, unless we do something NOW, that we will reach the point of no return. Meaning the damage will be uncorrectable. Heat will continue to rise and we will lose the ice forever. Ice that regulates temperature. Ice that when it melts will affect the flows of the currents of the ocean. Ice that the earth needs to survive. Not you and I, but the earth needs it.

(WHEW I AM GLAD THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN IN MY LIFE TIME.. NOT MY WORRY. LET THE NEXT GENERATION DEAL WITH IT.)

Think about your grand children, it will be their ordeal to live through if we do not do anything now. It is our problem NOW.

Get scared. Is our legacy the one of the people that were so self centered, so selfish, that we cared not that the life of the earth depended on our actions or inactions within the next FEW YEARS. And if you will not get scared, please get educated.

Read everything you can about global warming. Learn for yourself, make your own decisions but do it educated. If you do this then the fear ought to come naturally.

As for the skeptics, how's your summer been? And in many cases last years as well….. Don't for a second thing that the loss of the ice pack does not impact earthquakes, hurricanes, and all weather. A lot of death in the past couple years occurred due to freak nature events. Many say that these will increase.

Wanna take the risk?

My dishes can wait, my laziness is apparent, but some things just cannot. If someone you loved had symptoms of a heart attack what would you do? Rush them to the hospital.
